UP Board examinations have started. This time the board exams will be held from 22nd February to 09th March. The board is taking action to make this examination free from cheating. The board seems to be in no mood to show any laxity regarding incidents like paper leak and copying. According to reports, the Board has made an anti-cheating plan to curb cheating in the examination.

UP Board exam is considered a very big exam. Lakhs of students appear in this examination. This year also, more than 55 lakh students have registered for the examination. 8265 examination centers have been set up across the state for board exams. Which includes 566 government schools, 3479 funded and 4220 unfunded schools. The board examination will be conducted in two shifts. The 10th class exam will be held in the first shift from 8:30 am to 11:45 am. Whereas the 12th examination will be conducted in the second shift. This shift will start from 2 pm till 5:15 pm.

The Board has made arrangements for 24×7 online monitoring of strong rooms in the examination centers to make the examination fair and free from cheating. CCTV cameras have been installed inside and outside the exam centres. Besides, there is also a provision for voice recorder in CCTV cameras. Apart from this, a command and control room center has also been created in Lucknow for monitoring.

Complain on toll free number

Apart from this, officials have also been directed to inspect the strong room. The board has also issued a toll free number to complain about cheating in the examination. To complain, you can call toll free numbers 18001805310 and 18001805312. There is also a provision for information mediums like WhatsApp, Twitter and Facebook.

According to reports, if an attempt is made to transmit the question paper or any part of it or its solution through social media or any other means, then it will be punishable under Section 4/10 of the Uttar Pradesh Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act-1998. It is a punishable, cognizable and non-bailable offence. In the year 2023, there was a provision of NSA on cheating in UP board exam. Which means that one can be detained without any trial for one year.
